Mark Hughes Sacked.

Author: Manchester City have sacked manager Mark Hughes.
The news came after City’s narrow 4-3 home win over Sunderland on Saturday 19th December 2009.
Hughes had only managed 2 wins in the last 11 premiership games and City are currently only 6th in the Premier League despite spending heavily in the summer on players like Carlos Tevez, Adebayor and Joleon Lescott.
The board statement read:
“A return of two wins in 11 Premier League games is clearly not in line with the targets that were agreed and set. Sheikh Mansour and the board felt that there was no evidence that the situation would fundamentally change……”
The board have now named Roberto Mancini as Mark Hughes replacement and Brian Kidd as his assistant.
