Premier League preview
Chelsea host Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge with the chance of going back to the top of the Premier League. They are currently a point behind United in the race for the title. However Villa are still in the race for the fourth place and last Champions League spot.
Arsenal are also looking for a victory in the race for the Premier League title as they visit midtable Birmingham. Arsenal are currently two points behind league leaders Manchester United. Birmingham won’t be pushovers as they have good home form and are having a good season.
Champions League chasing Tottenham host bottom of the table Portsmouth at White Hart Lane. They could take a major lead in the race for that last Champions League place with a victory and two of their main rivals not playing till Sunday and Monday. The two sides will meet again in the FA Cup semi-finals.
Wolves host Everton hoping to continue their recent good form. Wolves are currently seven points clear of the drop zone. Everton are in-form and are still with an outside chance of qualifying for the Europa League next season.
Liverpool host Sunderland on Sunday and Manchester City face Wigan on Monday with the results important at both ends of the table. Liverpool will be looking to gain ground on fourth place Tottenham.
Sunderland will be looking for a victory which should secure their safety for this season. Manchester City will also be looking to get closer to Tottenham and Wigan are still in need of points to confirm their safety this season.
