Chesterfield 3-0 Rochdale
Chesterfield recovered from their weekend loss at the hands of Rotherham to beat promotion candidates Rochdale 3-0 on Wednesday evening. The result sees Chesterfield move above Dagenham and Redbridge in the league table and boosts their own chances of promotion this season.
Jack Lester scored his 18th and 19th goals of the seasons to put Chesterfield 2-0 ahead at the hour mark, and Greg Robertson made sure of all three points four minutes from time after when he beat Rochdale keeper Fielding, with Lloyd Kerry performing a clever backheel to assist him.
Chesterfield are ninth in the table currently, with 55 points from 37 games, and are four points behind seventh placed Shrewsbury. They however do have two games in hand.
