Elliott then had his penalty saved by Billy Turley, and Luke Foster then made Lewes pay for it by heading home the winner eight minutes from time. Rushden & Diamonds 1-2 Cambridge United ( Sam Smith/ Chris Holroy, Phil Booland)

Chris Holroy scored from the spot in the 22nd minute to give Cambridge the lead, but Sam Smith equalised for Rushden just before the break. Booland then broke Rushden hearts with a minute to go on the clock, heading home from Courtney Pitt’s cross.
